Ram Truck Tow Ratings

Use RV Tow Check to learn how much you can tow (stop) with your vehicle.

Did you notice that Ram only provides one maximum tow capacity (TWR) listing? Ford and Chevrolet provides separate tow capcities for 5th wheel and conventional towing. If you read the fine print, the max conventional tow rating is commonly limited by the hitch rating. However, always verify TWR by using the RV Tow Check app.

Ultimate Gasoline-powered Three-Quarter-Ton HD Challenge: And the Winner Is …

"I have a 41 foot 5th wheel being pulled with a three-quarter-ton diesel and have no problems so far. Love it."

Statements similar to the one above occur every day on various social media forums. Unfortunately, these statements are not helpful and could very well lead someone to purchase a trailer much too big for their tow vehicle. I know this first hand because I learned this costly lesson in 2009. Read more here.
