Sure, a Titan XD can tow a fifth wheel trailer. Just like 55% of all trucks towing 5th wheel trailers are exceeding the weight safety ratings. Therein is the issue with those towing 5th wheel with a Titan XD. Below are the specs available from Titan’s website and owner’s manual and the max towing results as revealed by the RV Tow Check app.

2021 Nissan Titan XD Crew Cab PRO-4X
GVWR: 8800
GCWR: 17700 (when appropriately equipped)
Base Curb Weight: 6683 (before adding several towing packages, etc.)
Gooseneck TWR: 11040
Conventional TWR: 10930
(Additional weight below)
5th Wheel Hitch: 250
Passenger Wt.: 150
Cargo Wt: 100

RV Tow Check Report (max Towing before including towing packages, etc.)

"I have a 41 foot 5th wheel being pulled with a three-quarter-ton diesel and have no problems so far. Love it."

Statements similar to the one above occur every day on various social media forums. Unfortunately, these statements are not helpful and could very well lead someone to purchase a trailer much too big for their tow vehicle. I know this first hand because I learned this costly lesson in 2009. Read more here.
